Privacy policy

We collect only what you choose to send us, we use it to answer you, and we do not sell it. This page explains the detail in plain language.

Who we are

This site is operated by Capital Cyber for Cybersecurity Consulting, a Capital Cyber practice, based in Leesburg, Virginia. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Capital Cyber.

What does the contact form collect?

The contact form collects your name, your email address, your company, your message and, if you choose to give it, a phone number. We do not ask for anything else, and you should not send us Controlled Unclassified Information, export controlled technical data, passwords or other sensitive material through the form.

Where does it go?

When you submit the form, its contents are sent by email to the practice at [email protected]. The message is delivered through an email service provider that acts on our behalf. We keep it in our business email and our customer records for as long as we need it to answer you and to manage any work that follows.

How do we use it?

We use what you send to reply to you, to arrange a call if you ask for one, and to prepare a proposal if there is a fit. We do not add you to a mailing list because you used the form.

Do we sell or share your data?

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and our email, and only so they can provide that service, or when the law requires it.

What about booking a call?

The booking calendar on this site is provided by a third party scheduling service. If you book a call, the details you enter there are collected by that service on our behalf and handled under its own privacy terms as well as this policy.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising cookies. The hosting platform and the booking calendar may set technical cookies or keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, that are needed to deliver and secure the pages.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected] or calling +1 571 410 3066. We will answer within a reasonable time and tell you if the law requires us to keep anything.

Security

We protect what you send with the same care we recommend to our clients, including access controls and multifactor authentication on the systems that hold it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive material through the form.

Changes and governing law

If we change this policy we will update this page and the review date above. This policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
